American Idol Frenchie Davis to Undergo Throat Surgery

You may remember Frenchie Davis from the second season of “American Idol” or recall her better for the adult website pictures that got her booted from the competition — either way, following “American Idol,” she went on to perform on Broadway in “Rent” for four years.
Now, Frenchie Davis is preparing to undergo throat surgery to remove a vocal cord polyp.
Frenchie Davis told the Associated Press: “I’ve talked to other singers who had surgery. One girl said her voice went up. Others’ voices got clearer. I’m just excited to see and a little nervous, of course. It’s still surgery.”
Frenchie Davis will have the throat surgery at the end of April and expects a month for recovery.
Frenchie Davis and fellow “American Idol” alum Ruben Studdard are set to begin a national tour of “Ain’t Misbehavin’” in the fall.
