“Grease” is the word for American Idol finalist Ace Young, who will join the cast September 9 as Kenickie. Ace Young and Idol champ Taylor Hicks will cross paths, as Hicks will complete his role as Teen Angel just two days before Young takes the stage.

Ace Young will appear in “Grease” through January 18.

“I’m really excited,” Young said. “I had a lot of things kind of open up for me and when the role of Kenickie was offered, it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do as a kid. That’s always been my favorite role from `Grease.’”
