A troop of former “American Idol” contestants turned out for Season Six’s big finale at the Los Angeles Kodak Theater last Wednesday night. But there was one notable face missing, Season Five runner-up Katharine McPhee.

“Katharine called them herself, trying to get on the [finale],” a source close to the singer tells the tabs. “She’s really hurt.”

Fox has no comment.
