Last night’s “American Idol” San Diego auditions featured single dad Perrie Cataldo (see video above). Well, looks like we have our first official “American Idol” scandal.

TMZ.com obtained an arrest record and has the booking photo of Perrie Cataldo, who was arrested in 2006 for having a concealed handgun in a Glendale, Arizona bar. He was initially kicked out of the bar for fighting, but returned with a hidden gun.

Perrie Cataldo plead no contest to the misdemeanor charge and was fined $568.

Will Perrie Cataldo’s criminal past have any impact on his chances of winning “American Idol?” As these things go, we’ll just have to wait and see.
