Sounds like those bossy stage dad rumors may be true — American Idol’s producers have banned finalist David Archuleta’s dad, Jeff Archuleta, from the backstage area.
Turns out Jeff Archuleta is a little too hands-on for his son, David Archuleta — being accused of disrupting production and trying to get David to change his “Stand By Me” performance to incorporate another song’s lyrics.
The American Idol producers objected and decided to put the ban on Jeff Archuleta, or so an “inside source” claims.
Of course, Jeff Archuleta will be allowed to watch David Archuleta and the other American Idol finalists from the audience.
