Tonight’s American Idol had the wild card picks performing for the final 3 4 spots in the top 12… er… top 13. The Idol judges threw in a twist (oh so sneaky) and picked a 4th wildcard finalist.

The judges picked Jasmine Murray, Megan Joy Corkrey and Matt Giraud… and Anoop Desai!

The 8 wildcard performances included:

Jesse Langseth – Tell Me Something Good
Randy said interesting song choice but didn’t think it was great; Kara said she comes alive on the stage; Paula is impressed with her determination; Simon said it was better than first time but thought it was indulgent.

Matt Giraud – Who’s Loving You
Kara said he can riff amazingly; Paula said it was the perfect song and he did an amazing job; Simon said it was a billion times better than last week; Randy said it was hot.

Megan Joy Corkrey – Black Horse and a Cherry Tree
Paula said she picked the right song; Simon said she’s terrific and current; Randy said it wasn’t the best vocal but she made a nice choice; Kara said she adds variety to the contestants.

Von Smith – Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word
Simon said it didn’t start well and he’s a bit boring; Randy said it’s a little serious; Kara not crazy about song choice and thinks he hasn’t hit his stride; Paula said he’s not letting his pure essence out.

Jasmine Murray – Reflection
Randy said better than last time; Kara didn’t know she had such a big voice; Paula said she did a wonderful job; Simon thought it was a brave song choice and a huge improvement over the last time.

Ricky Braddy – Superstition
Kara said he can sing his butt off; Paula said he nailed it; Simon said he sounded good but it was a bit clumsy; Randy didn’t think the song was quite right.

Tatiana Del Toro – Saving All My Love For You
Paula wasn’t a fan of her repeating the song; Simon said we’ve heard her sing it three times; Randy said it started rough and was a mixed bag of good and bad; Kara commented on her personalities.

Anoop Desai -My Prerogative
Simon said he’s not the best singer, but people like him; Randy said he did better than the last time he sang it; Kara said she wanted to get up and dance; Paula said he’s a showman and everyone loved it.
