American Idol 8 Results Show, March 11: Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez Eliminated (Video)

Nearly 33 million votes came in after last night’s performances, but who got cut from the top 13 on the American Idol 8 results show?… Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez were eliminated from American Idol’s week 1 March 11 results show.
And what’s the new rule/twist that Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell hinted at?
Ryan showed some past Idol faces and asked what they have in common? They all left the competition too early, so there’s a new rule: “the judges’ save” – the judges can save one contestant from elimination just once, up until the top 5. And it has to be unanimous. Once used, they can’t use the save again for the rest of the season. No one will be eliminated the week the judges’ save is used, but the next week, two people will be eliminated.
Other American Idol March 11 results show highlights included:
Seeing where the contestants live… nice digs!
The top 13 sang a Jackson 5 medley, and wasn’t too shabby.
The first Ford Fusion music video/commercial “We Will Rock You.”
Performances by Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson.
