American Idol 8 Louisville, Kentucky Audition Recap (Video)
Another night, another city of American Idol 8 auditions – check out this recap of the American Idol auditions in Louisville, Kentucky from the January 21 show:
19 were given golden tickets from the Louisville auditions, including Laneshe Young, seen in the video clip above.
- Tiffany Shedd, 18, Cincinnati, Ohio – her parents give her a glowing recommendation, but… oh no, Mariah Carey she is not. No golden ticket here, folks.
- Joanna Pacitti, 23, Philadelphia, PA – sang “We Belong” by Pat Benatar and naturally nailed it – she’s had a record deal already.
- Mark Mudd, 25, Coxs Creek, Kentucky – has almost died 5 times, sheesh! Unfortunately, his bad luck didn’t change and he was given no across the board.
- Brent Keith Smith, 28, Blanchester, OH – sang “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” by Bad Company and while Simon didn’t love the song, he gets a yes to Hollywood.
- Matt Giraud, 23, Kalamazoo, MI – sang Gavin DeGraw “I Don’t Want to Be” and Simon doesn’t think he believes in himself… but he’s a definite yes through to Hollywood.
- Ross Plavsic, 26, Crestview Hills, KY – has been studying to sing and it doesn’t pay off – no’s all around for Ross. (And seriously, could AI stop wasting our time with people that suck?)
- Alexis Grace, 20, Memphis, TN – stay at home mom with lots of musical dreams, a nice backstory; sang “Dr. Feelgood” by Aretha Franklin and all the judges liked her – off to Hollywood round!
- Aaron Williamson 27, Louisville, KY – he seems motivated, huh? Uh… quite the screamer, singing “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and Paula jumps out of her seat. Sorry, but no.
- Rebecca Garcia, 24, Nashville, TN – sang Carrie Underwood. Oh my… not happening for Rebecca. That’s a no.
- Kris Allen, 23, Conway, AR – Yes!
- Felicia Barton, 26, Virginia Beach, VA -Gets through to Hollywood
- Ryan Johnson, 27, Cincinnati, OH – Definite yes.
- Shera Lawrence, 23, Bowling Green, KY – Yes!
- Leneshe Young, 18, Cincinnati, OH – she’s struggled through poverty and her single mom raised her and her siblings, while Leneshe helped her mother. She defnitely gets the yes!

I was the one (Ross Bradley Plavsic) on the show.
I had a lot of misapplied techniques in my performance, one of which caused voice fatigue which caused my “scratchy throat” feeling.
However, I’m a better singer now, and I’m working on spoken word pieces as well. For more info, see my youtube page.

I would just like to say that they made Louisville look REALLY BAD on American Idol. They only showed the weirdest people from Louisville. I know there were other people that tried and wasn’t good enough to go to Hollywood but they didn’t have a goofy look or they weren’t stupid so they didn’t put them through to see the judges. I also, want to say that “be careful” is NOT a threat!!! I say be careful to people all the time. In fact, I say it everytime someone leaves my house. I think that because of the way that Mark Mudd looked, is why they thought it was a threat. I believe that they were judging him on his looks. I agree he was a little creepy looking, but he WAS NOT threatening them, in my opinion.
