Well kids… we’re down to 72 for the last day of the Hollywood week round, where each contestant performs by themselves with a band and backup singers (they can also play their own instruments). Here’s the American Idol 8 Hollywood round three recap, which includes Scott MacIntyre (video clip above):

Adam Lambert – “Believe” by Cher, which seemed too risky

Matt Giraud – played keyboard, sang “Georgia on My Mind” and got standing ovation from all but Simon

Jamar Rogers – sang “Hey There Delilah” and judges seemed to like it

Danny Gokey – sang “I Hope You Dance” and Paula at least was impressed

Anoop Desai – sang “My Prerogative”

Jorge Nunez – sang “I Just Can’t Stop”

Scott MacIntyre – we got another look at Scott’s backstory and he sang “Home” at the Hollywood final round.

Kendall Beard – also a recap of Kendall’s audition; sang Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.”

Stevie Wright – sang “Bubbly”

Lil Rounds – sang “I Ain’t Got You”

Kristin McNamara – we got the recap of her tumultuous group audition; sang “Because of You” and it seemed weak.

Mishavonna Henson – was cut during Hollywood round last year; sang “Everything.”

Tatiana Del Toro – sang Whitney Houston and bombed.

Alexis Grace – sang “Before He Cheats.”

Jasmine Murray – sang “Tattoo.”

Nathanial Marshall – sang “Disturbia”

Joanna Pacitti – a look back at her audition; final day of Hollywood and she choked on the lyrics to “I Ain’t Got You”

Casey Carlson – sang “Tattoo” and flubbed the lyrics.

Stephen Fowler – seemed to lose his way on the lyrics and started over, but still couldn’t find his way on “Time of My Life”

Nick Mitchell (Norman Gentle) – came out as Norman Gentle, can you believe it? Sang “Georgia on My Mind.”

Anne Marie Boskovich – sang “I Hope You Dance”

Ju’not Joyner – sang “Hey There Delilah”

Kaylan Loyd – flubbed lyrics on “I Ain’t Got You”

Laneshe Young – sang “Love Song”

Kai Kalama – his voice was pretty weak after the Hollywood round
