Tonight on American Idol 8, the top 9 was whittled down to 8 finalists – Megan Joy Corkrey was eliminated during the April 1 Idol results show.

Here’s a recap of how the American Idol results show broke down:

Kris, Megan, Matt were put in one group (Kris and Matt safe; Megan in bottom 3)

Adam, Lil, Allison were in another group (Lil and Adam safe; Allison in bottom 3)

Scott, Danny, Anoop were put in a third group (Danny and Scott safe; Anoop in bottom 3)

Allison and Anoop were safe and the judges didn’t even discuss using the judges’ save on her.
