Chris Bernheisel, 24, of Fremont, Nebraska is over-the-moon excited to be auditioning for “American Idol 7.” After wanting to audition for seven seasons, but unable to because of the travel cost, Chris Bernheisel is ready to audition.

He brought gifts for Randy, Simon and Paula, as well as pictures of himself with Kelly Clarkson. Chris Bernheisel sang “Since You’ve Been Gone,” but doesn’t have the singing chops to make it through to the Hollywood round.

Chris Bernheisel, does, however, audition for a reporting job in this “American Idol 7″ Omaha, Nebraska video clip… and gets it! Look for Chris Bernheisel reporting for the “American Idol 7″ season finale on Fox 42.
