Syesha Mercado totally sparkles – maybe it’s because she’s an aspiring actress too, but she’s got this great ability to connect with the audience. Plus she has the pipes to back it up – she’s really good.

But is she good enough?

If Syesha Mercado doesn’t push through far in this competition, I think she’s definitely fulfilled the goal of getting exposure and getting noticed. And hey, that’s half the battle.

If you recall, an American Idol contestant by the name of Jennifer Hudson didn’t make it to the end during her season, but she went on to act – and win and Oscar. So Syesha Mercado will definitely have options once this competition is over.
