American Idol 7 Final Auditions: Hollywood Round
“American Idol 7” wrapped up the auditions (finally!) with the remaining auditions rolled into one show. While this episode highlighted some of the best (and worst), Ryan let us know that overall, 100,000 total people showed up in the seven audition cities, with 164 people making it through to the Hollywood round.
Here are the Hollywood round folks that were shown in this final audition episode:
- Amy Davis , 25, Lowell, IN – wants to change her family’s future and pay back her single mom for all her hard work; sang “Blue Bayou”
- Cardin Lee McKinney, 20, Nashville, TN – confident waitress; sang “One Night Only” from Dreamgirls
- JoAnne Borgella, 25, Hoboken, NJ – plus size model; sang national anthem for college championship basketball game at Madison Square Garden; sang “I Love You” by Celine Dion
- Alesha Stelzl, 18, Ontario, CA – made it through after learning Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream”
- Chikezie Eze, 22, Inglewood, CA — auditioned last season; sang “All the Woman I Need” by Luther Vandross
- Danny Noriega, 17, Azusa, CA – tried out last season, but found it too intense; sang “Proud Mary”
The “American Idol 7” final audition show wrapped up with a montage of some of the best and worst, with the song “Best Days” by Graham Colton (from the Here Right Now Album) to sum things up perfectly. See the video clip above.
Next week is Hollywood week and we were given a sneak peek at the intense eliminations — including the squabbles amongst the judges and a bratty Simon. Oh, and contestants this year can play instruments!
