I really liked Amanda Overmyer, 22, from Mulberry, Indiana – a nurse and motorcycle chick — she really stood out in the crowd, but not in the creepy sort of way that so many “American Idol” wannabes do.

Amanda Overmyer sang “Mean Woman” by Janis Joplin in this “American Idol 7″ Atlanta audition video clip — and her very unique sound plus Randy’s label of “rock and roll nurse” pushed her through to the Hollywood round.
