J.P. Tjelmeland, 20, from Auburn, Alabama is no newcomer to the “American Idol” audition process. In season four, J.P. Tjelmeland was an “audition buddy” with Carrie Underwood — unfortunately, he wasn’t a “Hollywood buddy” with Carrie.

For the “American Idol 7″ Atlanta audition, seen in this video clip, J.P. Tjelmeland sang “Me and My Gang” by Rascal Flats, but it was a “No” across the board.
