American Idol 7 Atlanta Auditions: Asia’h Epperson (Video)
Asia’h Epperson, 18 from Joplin, MO is seen in this “American Idol 7″ Atlanta audition video clip. While we’ve seen some tear jerking moments during the Idol auditions, Asia’h’s story is heartbreaking.
Asia’h Epperson tells how she called her dad before leaving for the audition and her father was killed in a car accident shortly thereafter. Just two days later, she was standing before the judges to audition, singing “How Do I Live” by LeAnn Rimes, in honor of her father.
The judges unanimously voted yes for the Hollywood round. Asia’h is certainly one brave young woman.

I think anyone who enters a singing competition three days after their parent has passed away in a tragic accident is disgraceful. You are kidding yourself if you actually believe her deceased father’s true ambition for Asia’h Epperson was to compete in the television series, American Idol. Typically, when a loved one dies, it incites some kind of self-reflection of what is truly important in life, which is family and everything else that is irrelevant, such as narcissistic, attention-seeking behavior, should diminish in importance. For crying out loud – who does that?
