ABC has decided to give Scrubs another year, renewing the hospital comedy for its ninth season. Zach Braff is confirmed to have signed on for six episodes, but the rumor that Sarah Chalke did the same deal is not yet a sure thing.

Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn will also return for season 9. No word yet on which new characters will join the cast or if the format of Scrubs will change.

Judy Reyes has not yet been confirmed for the upcoming season.
