Whether they break up next week or break up at the end of the series or breakup and get back together and break up again... *deep breath*... we all know they can't stay together because A) what's the point of having Lois on the show if they're not using comic canon and having her destined to be with Clark and B) she's WAY too much like Lex now, so he wouldn't stay with her anyway. I'm *really* enjoying this new Lex-ish Lana. She's finally interesting. Finally has a motivation. And if that's the thing that ultimately makes Clark decide he can't be with her, cool. Something has to. And let's not forget the same reasons he's questioning her are the reasons he and Lex are no longer buddies.
