Well, I’m just not sure of Nathaniel Marshall’s song choice during the American Idol 8 top 36 performances – Nate sings “I Would Do Anything For Love” by Meatloaf and it seemed just a bit cheesy.

I really liked how Von Smith took things down a bit for his performance of “You’re All I Need to Get By” (take a listen in this American Idol 8 top 36 performance video clip). I’m not convinced he’s top 12 material, however.

It’ll be interesting to see if Scott MacIntyre makes it through to the American Idol 8 top 12 after this performance of “Mandolin Rain” (take a listen in the video clip). I’d like to see him make it so he can play piano and sing.
