Remember Mark Mudd from the Louisville, Kentucky auditions (watch video above)? He didn’t get through to Hollywood, but on his way out of the audition room he told the judges to “be careful.” Paula Abdul somehow took that as a threat and got snippy about it.
We can finally stop saying “that new untitled Amy Poehler comedy…” – it’s got a name! “Public Service,” starring Poehler and Rashida Jones, will premiere on NBC April 9 at 8:30 p.m.
Public service comes from The Office executive producers, but will not cross paths with the Scranton-based comedy, but will follow The Office on Thursday nights.
NBC has ordered the pilot of “Parenthood,” based on Ron Howard’s 1989 movie. Parenthood featured a midwestern family, whose parents were played by Steve Martin and Dianne Wiest. No casting information has been released.
Other 80s comebacks/TV remakes include “The Witches of Eastwick” and “V.”
