This whole 2009 season on American Idol 8, it’s looked like Adam Lambert was the clear front runner – but now that we’re down to the final face-off between Lambert and Kris Allen… well, it’s suddenly not so clear. Still, based on his solid performances across the board, TV Crunch predicts that Adam Lambert will win American Idol 8.

Both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen have brought their remarkable talents to the stage – and their different styles have gained them plenty of fans. But, of the two, Adam Lambert has had much more touting – from Simon Cowell’s prediction of Lambert’s win, to getting the personal go-ahead from frickin’ Bono to sing a U2 song, to Katy Perry’s pimp move of Adam Lambert’s name on her cape – well, we’re pretty sure that gives him a leg up on the competition.

There’s no denying that Adam Lambert has made every performance uniquely his own, and despite the high notes wearing on the nerves a bit, he hasn’t had a bad performance the whole season.

No doubt about it – this is going to be a tight outcome. Adam Lambert has been a star the whole ride, while Kris Allen has his own everyday-guy-next-door-acoustic-guitar-boy vibe – so each has plenty of fans.

A Kris Allen upset is still entirely possible, however. Lets not forget that those who voted on Danny Gokey and are continuing to vote may now cast their love in Kris’ direction. But could Kris Allen really win Idol 8?

This could be anyone’s American Idol win – but honestly, both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are winners no matter whose name Ryan Seacrest announces at the finale. Both Lambert and Allen have solid music careers ahead of them for sure.
