Watching American Idol tonight, you may be wondering just how old Neil Diamond is — he’s 67 and still rockin’ out. Not bad. Incidentally, Neil Diamond and I share the same birthday — January 24. Not sure why that’s exciting, but thought I’d share.

Even more interesting to me — how old is Neil Diamond’s mother? I was amazed to see her among the screaming fans in the American Idol audience during the April 30 show. Adoring mom, age unknown.

In one of the more interesting moments of the April 30 American Idol results show, during the Question and Answer session, Simon Cowell’s first kiss, Tara Miller calls in. It’s kind of cute to see Simon Cowell reminiscing about his first kiss when he was nine years old.

Do you think Simon Cowell and his first kiss, Tara Miller, will re-connect? After all, he did ask if she was still cute (and she said yes!).

Did you have any doubt that magician David Blaine wouldn’t break the world record for holding his breath? On today’s (April 30) Oprah, David Blaine held his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds, beating the current Guinness World Record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds.

Prior to his stunt, David Blaine inhaled pure oxygen through a mask to fill his blood with oxygen. According to David Blaine, breaking the record was “a lifelong dream.”

“My Life on the D-List” star Kathy Griffin stopped by the April 29 Late Late Show in this video clip. She’s funny and all… but that outfit is screaming out school marm, huh?
