1980s Movie Parenthood Comes to NBC

NBC has ordered the pilot of “Parenthood,” based on Ron Howard’s 1989 movie. Parenthood featured a midwestern family, whose parents were played by Steve Martin and Dianne Wiest. No casting information has been released.
Other 80s comebacks/TV remakes include “The Witches of Eastwick” and “V.”

They did this already. Ed Begley Jr. played the Steve Martin part and Leonardo DiCaprio was the in it too, as the kid, Gary. It lasted less than a season. Oh, and David Arquette was the Keanu Reeves character.
