“The Empire” – a Game Show for Everyone

“The Empire” is a new game show that virtually anyone can play. The brainchild of reality TV producer Michael Davies, who created “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” hopes to get “The Empire” up and running for hundreds of thousands of viewers to play. The concept would make use of cell phones, the Internet, and good old-fashioned land lines – projecting players into the studio through live video or an Internet profile. Davies’ partners have developed the proprietary technology to make it happen, and he expects to pitch “The Empire” in December.
“I’ve been waiting for someone to crack the multiplatform game show for a decade, and this is far beyond what I could have imagined,” Davies said. “It is young, visual, dynamic and frankly, revolutionary.”
