“Can You Duet?” Casting Call

The latest singing competition poised to hit the airwaves is “Can You Duet?” on CMT. “American Idol” producers are holding open casting calls on January 12th in Nashville. The show will feature aspiring country music singers – performing duets. Those who can’t make the casting call have until December 7th to submit an audition video. The show will debut in spring 2008.
CMT Head of Development, Bob Kusbit, said of the series, “We’ve always wanted to be in the music competition business, but we hadn’t found the right concept until now. We’re thrilled to create the kind of buzzworthy series that, not only has the potential to be a hit for CMT, but to create the next big country stars.”
