Here’s one pregnancy rumor that’s just not true – “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino is not pregnant, as was recently rumored.

A rep from Fantasia Barrino’s Broadway show, The Color Purple, said, “Fantasia is not pregnant and the Internet rumors are entirely untrue.”

The pregnancy rumor started because of Fantasia Barrino’s many absences from the Broadway production. The rep commented on her absences, saying, “It is true that she has missed some performances because she has gotten sick from time to time over the nine months, but doing eight shows a week is a lot so she missed a few.”
