“American Idol” runner-up Katharine McPhee, 23, is engaged to the older guy in her life – Nick Cokas, 42. The May-December romance has been going on for a year, but McPhee is reportedly sporting a new ring from her sweetheart.

A source tells People magazine, “Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding. She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

McPhee is currently filming “I Know What Boys Like” and will star in the independent film “The Last Caller.”
